A mysterious CD containing a strategy game named Erebos, made for computer, begins to circulate in a school in London. Everybody wants a copy, but each player only has the opportunity of making a copy for one person. Erebos is a game that puts challenges, to its players, not only in the cyber world, but, also in the real world without caring for the impact of the challenges. If the player doesn’t fulfill the challenge, he’s out of the game without having other opportunity to play.
I think that what happens in this book already happens in real life. The obsession of having a wonderful game which everybody loves and the alienation that this games cause are real.
I liked this book because it’s a good story and all the descriptions of the game and its characters are great, apart from this, the story makes you think in real facts and in what would happen if the people went mad and began fulfilling all the challenges that a game tells them to fulfill. What would happen if people forget the difference between the real world and the cyber world?
