Odessa and Meredy begin their travel over the world. When they’re staying in a place named Sarral, where dragons exist and the dead only “live” at night, they hear news from Karthia, Valoria has difficulties being accepted as a queen and she’s in danger, so they must return to Karthia to help their friend and queen.
Valoria’s reign is endangered by some citizens who refuse to change or accept new ideas or inventions. Also, they want the dead risen again. In addition to them, the Ezorans, a nation of warriors who destroys and sacks the places where they arrive, heads to Karthia, where there’s no army. When Odessa and Meredy were staying at Sarral, the Ezorans burned one border village.
Odessa must protect Karthia and the queen with her friends’ help, Simeon, Danial, Jax and Meredy. Besides, there are persons who have new unknown powers that they must master.
I think that the most exciting part of the book is near the end . I liked the end and to imagine what could happen in the next book. I hope to read more about the dragons and other countries. Nipper was so cool.
I disliked that, in my opinion, Odessa seemed obsessed with Meredy. There were happening a lot of important things and she was only thinking in Meredy and her problems. This book focus a lot on their relationship and there were other important matters too. I liked more the first book.
Regardless that, I think this is a good story. There are new interesting characters and places. I’ll read the next book and I continue recommending the series.
