I really wanted to read this book and I enjoyed it a lot.
There are two stories intertwined in the book.
The first one is Laura’s. She has a lot of potential but she hasn’t accomplished any of her dreams. She’s the assistant of a writer who leaves her as his heir with special requests, one of them is to try to find the owners of many items that he found and kept thinking that maybe its owner would claim it back. This is a very difficult task, fortunately she’ll receive help from Sunshine, a very perceptive young woman, and from Freddy, the handsome gardener.
The second one is Eunice’s. She finds a job as the assistant of a publisher who’ll become the love of her life. This story begins when Anthony (the writer of Laura’s story) was a young man and in the other story he’s old.
Both stories have romance, drama, special characters even ghosts.
I loved Douglas, Baby Jane and Carrot (all dogs). And I disliked Portia, she was a bad person.
The plot is very interesting. I think that a lot of people have lost something and could want it back. If someone as Anthony existed it would be great because the lost things could return to its owners.
I liked how the stories intertwine at the end and I think that Sunshine was a great friend and she gave Laura many lessons although she was the younger one.
I recommend this book. Lovely story.
