After the exciting end of the first book comes this second one more exciting.
Kazi and Jase begin the return journey to Tor’s Watch completely in love and very happy but they don’t know what’s happening there. Their happiness will be overshadowed by the terrible situation at Jase’s home.
Unlike the first one, there was nothing slow about this book and it kept me wanting to read more because there were happening a lot of things all the time.
King Montegue was very ambitious, so much that there were times when he didn’t see reality. Besides he and the ones under his lead were only interested in themselves.
Unlike the Ballengers, who helped the other people. They seemed to me kind of temperamental and impulsive but also they looked out for the town’s people and they were a very united family.
Kazi and Jace continued being intelligent, strong and capable. I liked that because I love characters with those qualities.
But I think the bilogy wouldn’t become part of my favorites because I didn’t love the first book, nevertheless I think it’s worth reading it mostly because of the second book but the first one has good moments too.
And Kazi and Jase’s couple is one of my favorites.
