In these compilations you’ll find many Lovecraft’s tales such as: The Colour Out of Space, The Call of Cthulhu, The Silver Key, The Dunwich Horror, The Whisperer in Darkness, At the Mountains of Madness, The Shadow over Innsmouth, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward and many others.
I love Lovecraft’s dark imagination. His capacity to create worlds full of degenerate and horrible characters and his knowledge of human madness, as in The Case of Charles Dexter Ward are impressive. The worlds he creates are full of fantasy and horror.
If you want to imagine a lot of dark places full of demons and horrible gods, you have to read Lovecraft’s tales.
