Catlin and Maddy are twins. They love each other and are best friends despite they have very different personalities. Maddy is shy, selfless and doesn’t have good self-esteem, and Catlin likes to be loved and the center of attention.
They move, with their mother, to an Irish town named Ballyfrann where their stepdad owns a castle.
The town isn’t very welcoming. The villagers are families who had lived there for many years and aren’t very friendly. Also, a lot of girls have been found brutally murdered in the place.
Will the twins adapt to living in this dangerous town? Will they continue to be best friends?
Well, here comes my opinion.
I liked the book because it mixes horror, magic and romance.
I found Catlin unbearable many times. I liked more Maddy but sometimes her poor self-esteem was kind of maddening. I disliked their mom because she was always bothering Maddy with the salt but she let Catlin have her altars.
I liked that Ballyfrann and its people were special but I think they knew well who the killer was nevertheless they let him free and they could have stopped him.
I would like to know more about Maddy’s magic studies.
I recommend this book. I loved its cover.
