Christina Henry – The Girl in Red.

21/11/2020 By paucoes Leave a Comment

This book is about the Apocalypse caused by a disease called the Cough. It provokes death caused by a terrible cough, as its name says.

Cordelia, she likes to be calles Red, is a smart girl who likes to make plans and be prepared for any eventuality. She begins to prepare everything for surviving the pandemic and she tells her family to go to grandma’s house which is in the forest.

This is the story of Red’s way to her grandma’s home, all her loses, her hits and misses, her learning, and some revelations about the disease or diseases that killed most humans in the world.

I loved this book! The story is very interesting and exciting. I would like it to be longer.

Red was very intelligent and brave. She’s a character who could star in other books and I would read them. I liked that she was very capable and adapted to her prosthetic leg.

Whenever I read a story like this, I ask myself what would I do to survive. I like to think that I would survive the Apocalypse.

At last, I think that the end is kind of open so I decided to think that everything resulted in the correct way. That made me happy.

This book is added to my favorites. I would like to read more of the author’s books.
