Two intertwined stories.
One is Onna Gebowa’s. A brilliant wizard who’s very smart with numbers and who’s trying to find a place in the magic world.
The other is Tsira’s. A troll that finds a seriously injured human, named Jeckran, and decides to help him. This is the beginning of a relationship.
Both stories happen in a world where trolls are being violently killed by someone who uses magic.
I must say that, at the beginning, it was difficult to understand some words and aspects that were proper of the book’s world. As I continued reading I understood more but there were some aspects that I didn’t understand.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading this book and the world created by the author. The troll’s matriarchies, the different roles played by the members, the sometimes sexist magic world and the different characters (some made me laugh).
I liked more Onna’s story. I could read more about her.
I consider that this book is amusing, very interesting and in my opinion, it isn’t long.
There’s another book that takes place in that world. I don’t know if I will read it but soon another book will be published that don’t take place there and that one caught my attention.
