This isn’t the sequel of Boneless Mercies but it mentions the other story sometimes.
It’s starred by Torvi and her sister Morgunn, who will have to continue with their lives after the death of their family. And Gyda (a druid) who’s on the quest of finding a legendary sword. She meets the sisters after escaping from a group of Fremish wolf- priests who had been attacking many towns. This same group takes Morgunn with them.
Torvi and Gyda will try to rescue Morgunn. They’ll have interesting allies but the path won’t be easy and will be full of discoveries.
I liked the story. It was exciting and I enjoyed reading about groups such as The Butcher Bards, Quicks, Druids, Pig Witches, Drakes, etc.
I didn’t like the Fremish wolf-priests neither their method for accessing their magic. They were despicable.
On the other hand, I liked Gyda and Torvi. Both had personal growth as the story evolved. I also liked Madoc and Ink because they were very brave and loyal.
In my opinion, this is a very recommendable story. Besides, I like that it makes reference to the nordic culture. And based on what I’ve read, to King Arthur’s legend too.
