This is the end of the story of Katherine Harker and August Flynn.
Kate has been chasing monsters in Prosperity with a new team. The members live at the city and don’t know who Kate truly is. The arrival of a new monster, an intriguing shadow never seen before will make her return home.
In the meanwhile, August and his family have continued fighting against Sloan and his monsters. Some of the northern people have moved to the south looking for refuge. The humans who remained in the north are the monsters’ food.
Could August and Kate defeat Sloan and the new shadow, the Chaos Eater?
I still think this is an exciting and agile reading story. It kept my attention the whole time.
I think that the monsters are a very original idea, the Sunai are my favorite.
Kate and August are a great team. I was glad when they reunited. They were good for each other.
The only problem with the bilogy is that it leaves the reader with many questions regarding the origins of the monsters. Why they appeared? What happened in Verity and Prosperity that made they appear? Where does the Chaos Eater came from?
Nevertheless, it’s a story that I enjoyed reading and I recommend it.
