Here are the titles of the books: 1-The Magicians’ Guild, 2-The Novice and 3-The High Lord.
The story begins when the Imardin magicians are throwing out of the city all the people that are believed to be criminals or homeless. Sonea, is a girl whose family is going to be evicted. She’s very mad with all the injustice committed by the magicians, so, when they’re reunited she throws them a stone without knowing that they’re protected with an invisible shield, but the stone breaks through the shield and hits one magician on the head. That’s the moment when Sonea and all the magicians realize that she has magic. The magicians will start a search to find her.
Along the trilogy we’ll learn the way of Sonea’s thinking and deciding. She’ll study in the Magicians’ Guild and she’ll have a mentor. There, she will experience more injustice and inequality. Also, bullying, but fortunately, Sonea isn’t easily intimidated and she shows everyone that she isn’t weak and that she’s going to fight for what she wants, believes and deserves.
My favorite character, besides Sonea, is Akkarin (The High Lord and The Black Magician) he’s full of mystery and power.
I suffered with some events of the trilogy, but I believe that everything happened as it should be and I’m very proud of Sonea’s achievements.
This is a trilogy that I recommend very much. It’s intelligent and it catches your attention from the beginning. Another of my favorites!
