Second part of Celine and Bastien’s story.
Celine doesn’t remember completely what happened to her. She only has some flashes that make her want to remember everything despite it could be painful.
Bastien, as a new vampire, is immersed in his anger and trying to behave in the worst way possible.
Also, the Brotherhood and Émilie are aware that the pact between vampires and werewolves has been broken and this will start a war that Bastien’s sister will use for her selfish purposes.
I wanted to continue reading this story and I enjoyed it very much.
I love that it happens in NOLA, a great place for this stories. And I liked that it extended to the Sylvan Vale and Sylvan Wild (magical beings homes). It will be great to read more about this places.
Talking about Celine and Bastien. I like that she’s very capable and self-confident, and that she can face Bastien, who can be very tantrum.
I want to say that Émilie is very selfish and consumed by envy and resentment. I didn’t like her.
And that I didn’t understand Jae’s situation completely. Maybe when I read the next book I’ll understand it.
Well, the end is exciting and intriguing. I want to continue reading this series. Lovers of vampires, werewolves, faes and romance, read this series!
