A giant bright dial appears in the sky above the Antarctica, while a CNN’ journalist and her crew were recording a reportage, it grows in size and, suddenly, it disappears. This won’t be the only apparition of a bright dial in the sky and the Antarctica won’t be the only place where the dials appear. This happening will trigger different opinions and reactions along the world, most of them will be of fear for the apocalypse and God’s rage.
The story made me think about my reaction to such happening and what will the world do if, suddenly, a giant bright dial appeared in different parts of the world. We know that there are a lot of religions and each one has its own precepts and they interpret the events in a very different way. This book talks about this situation and it highlights the conflict that would emerge, between religions, because every one of them would interpret the happening their way and their leaders would debate it and their opinions would, probably, affect the other leaders.
The Sign makes evident the importance of religion to the people and how people can be manipulated by their religious leaders and their beliefs.
