Second book in the Scholomance trilogy.
It’s the graduation year for El and Orion. The terrible graduation which only a few survive.
Everybody is hoping that the cleaning system kept working after last year and that a lot of “Mals” had died but they must train anyway.
Also, El’s schedule is very suspicious. It seems that the Scholomance is going after her. And Orion can’t find “Mals” to extract the mana he needs, so he’s acting more strange than usual.
Added to this, some Enclaves have been attacked and the leaders are very tense.
I enjoyed a lot this book, as the first one, and when I finished it I continued with the next book. Besides, the end left me in total suspense.
I liked El and Orion’s relationship. And the story caught my attention but I must confess that sometimes I thought it was a lot of extra information before arriving at what I wanted to read, also in the first book, and this despaired me, nevertheless I liked a lot these books.
It seemed to me that in this book Orion wasn’t very important and I would have liked him to appear more.
Anyway, I think this story is great, it talks about important aspects and the characters are memorable. I like to remember it though I’ve already finished it.
Oh! And I liked that El found a very powerful and ancient book. I like books with that characteristics.
This trilogy will be added to my favorites.
