The great end of one of my favorite series!
The relationship between Ixia and Sitia is very tense. On the one hand, the Commander is under Owen Moon’s influence, who wants to invade Sitia and use a terrible weapon against all the magicians, the Commander will be the one to blame. On the other hand, Sitia is controlled by the Cartel. All the Counselors are under the influence of Theobroma and there are more glass houses where Curare’s plants are growing quickly.
Therefore, Yelena, Valek, Ari, Janco, Leif, Fisk, Opal and her family, Onora, Heli, Zohav, Zethan, amongst others, have to find the way to counteract Theobroma’s effects on the magicians, stop the growth of Curare’s plants, save the Council and restore their power, and stop the war between Sitia and Ixia. Valek will be, also, in charge of stopping Owen’s invasion and influence over Commander Ambrose.
In addition, Yelena has to look after her pregnancy and Valek has to learn to control his new magic.
I loved this book! It’s a great end to a brilliant series with diverse and charismatic characters. There are very funny dialogues. We know Janco and Ari are amusing, but in this book, even Onora said something witty.
Besides, everyone has an important role to play and a lot of challenges to overcome. The whole book is exciting.
I loved the end and I confirm this is one of the best stories that I’ve read and that they’re one of the best teams ever. Highly recommended!
