In Julietta’s world memories are very important, they can be stolen, bought, sold or used for torture and murder.
Not everyone is Gifted. The ones who are, manipulate memories by touching other people and there are some “Sifters” who can manipulate memories by sight, they’re the most powerful.
Julietta needs to touch someone to manipulate his/her memories and she has a great variation of the gift, she’s unreadable. She lives in Craewick with her mom who’s sadly in an asylum because she’s in comma.
One day, she receives her mom’s auction notice from Madame, the ruler. This means her mom’s death, so she decides to do everything she can to save her mother even if it means trying to ally with people she betrayed.
This book seemed to me very recommendable. I liked Etta’s world even with the danger of being left without memories and I would like the story to continue.
I think this is an agile reading story. It’s exciting, emotive and catches the reader’s attention since the beginning.
There’s a part at the end which seemed to me very sad and I would like it to pass in another way.
In my opinion, Reid and Etta make a beautiful couple. They could accomplish many things together. I hope the story to continue and I recommend this book.
