Lucinda Price (Luce) is transferred to Sword & Cross, a reformatory, after she’s accused of starting a fire in her last school which caused the death of one boy dear to her.
Luce’s life changes completely after her arrival at Sword & Cross. There she’ll meet a group of fallen angels, among which is her eternal soulmate, Daniel Grigori. They’ll have to fight for their love and she’ll have to understand and find a way to end the curse which prevents them from being together. Also, she’ll travel to her past guided by an intriguing and important character named Bill, and then, along with the fallen angels (Daniel, Cam, Arriane, Roland, Gabbe, Annabelle and Molly) and two Nephilim (Shelby and Miles) she’ll have to prevent Lucifer from erasing the world’s history.
Well, this series is really romantic and it’s focused on Luce and Daniel’s eternal love and in the fact that they’ll, always, choose their love no matter what.
In my opinion, the second book is kind of boring and monotonous, it could have been shorter. The other three books are more interesting. I liked very much the first one, specially because it took place inside a reformatory, that’s why I decided to read the rest of the saga, which turned out to be not what I expected. But, I’m not saying that it’s not worth to read this saga.
I didn’t like that Luce and Daniel’s love was the center of everything, neither that people or angels had to die for this love, and, neither that the world’s destiny depended on their love. Nevertheless, I liked reading Luce’s past lives and the search of the items needed for revealing The Fall’s place.
My favorite characters were Cam and Arriane.
