After falling overboard from the ship where they were traveling, the professor Pierre Aronnax, his assistant Conseil and the harpooner Ned Land, are taken prisoners of the Captain Nemo. He keeps them in his submarine named Nautilus; it’s worth to mention that the Nautilus was created by Nemo.
During their stay within the Nautilus, they’ll travel the seas, they’ll see the Atlantida burried in the ocean’s bottom, they’ll learn about the species of sea animals and they’ll see some of the captain’s inventions, but they’ll never stop wanting to be free.
I loved that all the food they ate came from the sea and I thought that Captain Nemo was very intelligent. It’s true that the ocean is another world and it has a lot of undiscovered places. It’s full of beautiful and strange creatures that should be left alone.
I agree with the desire of freedom that the three prisoners have, although the experience they had within the Nautilus was extraordinary.
