I wanted to read this book since long time ago and, fortunately, it didn’t disappoint me.
Ane Larrazábal is the best violin player of the world. She plays a Stradivarius which she assures belonged to Paganini.
She’s murdered after a concert and some people begin to say that her violin is cursed.
Detective Perdomo is in charge of the investigation. He must find the missing violin, which seems to bring bad luck to everyone who possess it, and solve a case in which mysterious and frightening events happen.
I liked the story. Learning more about Paganini, his compositions, his instruments and what people told about him was very interesting. His supposed pact with the devil and the curses of his instruments gave me chills, also the scary events of the book.
I didn’t like the murderer’s identity but there were times when I suspected of that person.
At last, in my opinion, this is a disturbing, attractive and agile reading book which has a lot of musical culture that I liked a lot. I’ll look for more of the author’s books.
If you like to read books which keep you in tension and give you chills, you must read this one. Recommended!
Oh! The book isn’t published in english.
