Jason Reynolds – Long Way Down.

There are three rules in Will’s neighborhood: 1-never cry, 2-never betray and 3-always get revenge.Will must follow this rules after his brother’s, Shawn, assassination. He thinks he knows who’s the assassin, the only problem is that there will always be someone who will follow rule number three. 

This story takes place in the elevator of the building where Will lives. It makes us think in all the violence that exists in many places around the world where the young make justice by their own hand creating an endless chain of murders. 

The book has a very interesting ending that leaves the reader thinking of what really happened. I had to read the book one more time because I thought that I missed something.

It’s an agile reading book, it’s written in verse (very original) and makes the reader think a lot. Read it!
