It’s a dystopian series in which the government is a totalitarian regime led by “The One Who Is The One”. This regime is against all the people who have the ability to do magic.
Whit and Wisty are brother and sister. The action begins when they are accused of having magic powers and arrested. They’ll discover that it’s true that they have magic powers, so they’ll use them for bringing down the totalitarian regime and helping the people like them. They’ll have allies not only in their world, but also in parallel worlds. And they will suffer terrible losses.
I liked this series because its main characters are a brother and a sister that support the other one and fight together. They’re different and they have different powers, but they complement the other one.
They face many challenges, some painful ones. They have to make decisions for a lot of people and sometimes their youth affect their decisions. Nevertheless, they’re good leaders and they’re part of a prophecy, so they’re followed.
It’s an amusing series. It has a lot of adventure, action and magic.
