Wonderful trilogy consisting of three books: 1-The Fellowship of the Ring, 2-The Two Towers and 3-The Return of the King.
It’s the story of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit that inherited a ring from his uncle, Bilbo Baggins. Along with companions coming from different races, he faces the extreme mission of destroying the one ring, which belonged to Sauron, the most terrible of all the creatures of the world. His companions are three more hobbits: Samwise, Merry and Pippin; two humans: Aragorn (Strider) and Boromir; an elf: Legolas; a dwarf: Gimli and Gandalf the Grey, a wizard.
All of them will face extremely dangerous situations and terrible enemies who were created with the only purpose of killing.
I love this trilogy. It’s the first fantastic trilogy written in such a terrific way. A whole world that has different races with their own languages, manners, preferred homes, preferred clothing, etc. It’s full of intelligent, wise, brave, honest and loyal characters. Of course, there are a lot of characters that are a real nuisance. The Ents are wonderful! I would love living in such a world.
The Lord of the Rings is a story that will keep your attention all the time. Besides, Frodo’s story isn’t the only one happening in the books, it’s the most important one, but there are too the stories of what’s happening with the other members of the Fellowship of the Ring and those stories are very interesting too.
I love that women are of special importance in the story and they are brave, powerful and intelligent.
It’s a sublime trilogy and one of my favorites.
