Beatriz thinks that marrying Don Rodolfo Solórzano she’ll be free and will own a beautiful hacienda but when she stays at night in Hacienda San Isidro she realizes there’s something evil there.
She searches for the Church’s help. There she meets Padre Andrés who’s very different from other priests.
What does the evil presence want? Will Beatriz die there?
I liked this gothic novel. I think that Beatriz was a strong woman for her time and she knew how to act despite the fear.
I liked Andrés and Paloma. It was good that Andrés was powerful. On the other hand, I didn’t like Juana.
I think that the book’s end is good and the story keeps the reader in suspense. There are parts that can make you shiver.
I recommend this book. I may read other of the author’s books.
