This is Heathcliff’s story and his relationship with the Earnshaw and Linton families too. How he was completely in love with Catherine Earnshaw and how he seeked revenge because he was full of hate for those who rejected him as a kid.
Everything happens in Wuthering Heights, Earnshaw’s home, and the Thrushcross Farm, Linton’s home. Heathcliff became the owner by malice and cunning.
For me, this is a very dramatic story. At the beginning it was difficult to read but fortunately there was a moment when it was easier because the story stopped being tedious for me. I liked the end and I think this is a good book despite the fact that I didn’t like part of the story and the characters. I am very happy after reading it because this is a classic that I wanted to read.
Talking about the characters, Heathcliff became part of my most hated ones. Catherine (mother) too, she was truly maddening. It was very stressful that nobody faced Heathcliff despite they knew he was a bad person. He always got away with everything.
I thought that Mr. Lockwood would do something more important for the story. And the characters I disliked less were Hareton, I felt sorry for him, and Catherine (daughter) she could be very difficult but she was a better person.
I believe this is a “must read”. It leaves a mark in the reader despite it could be tedious for some people.
