The books of this trilogy are: 1-A Discovery of Witches, 2-Shadow of Night and 3-The Book of Life.
Diana Bishop is a witch, descendant of an important lineage, and a historian invited to teach in Oxford. She refuses to use her power.
One day, while she was doing a research in the Bodleian Library, she discovers an alchemical manuscript named Ashmole 782, which is of a huge importance for the witches, the vampires and the daemons (the other two rare species in the Earth). Each species wants it for different reasons and they will do everything for acquiring it. In this same library, Diana meets Matthew Clairmont, a renowned proffesor of genetics very important in the vampire clan who’s searching, too, for the Ashmole 782.
Along the trilogy we’ll find time travels, tenacious enemies, political problems within the magic clans and some restrictions for the magical species. Also, there are unforgettable characters and real history combined with magic.
The All Souls Trilogy is very intelligent and I like that the main characters aren’t teenagers, therefore, we’ll enjoy more mature experiences.
When you start reading it, it will be difficult to stop reading. I didn’t realize the time was passing.
I love this trilogy! It’s one of my favorites!
