Christine Féret-Fleury – The Girl Who Reads on the Métro.

Juliette loves literature. She always takes a book with her.

Everyday, on the way to her job she watches other passengers as they read and she wonders about their stories and the books they read. There’s a girl who always cries when she reads the page 247, a men with a green hat, a woman, a mathematics student, etc.

Juliette’s life is monotonous, but one day she decides to change the route to her job, that decision will take her to a place where she will define if she wants to continue with her life as it is or if she wants to change it and live an adventure.

I really liked this book! It’s a beautiful story about people who like to read and promote reading, and about a woman who finds what she wants to do with her life thanks to books.

Zaida, Juliette and Leonidas are very nice characters. Zaida was very intelligent and she had a lot of interest in getting more knowledge, I liked that. I also liked that some authors and their work are mentioned in the story causing the reader to search for them. 

The edition that I read has lovely illustrations. I think it makes the book more special.

I recommend a lot this book.
