Amity isn’t like the other high society women. She loves to travel alone, she’s practical, she knows a little about medicine and how to defend herself.
On her way to boarding a ship she meets an injured man who asks her to keep safe and deliver a very important letter.
This is how she’ll live an adventure that involves romance, spies, weapons, mystery, a lot of investigation and a terrible serial killer known as “The Groom”.
This is an agile reading book that I enjoyed a lot because it has a little of everything.
Amity was a strong and capable woman, different of most women at her era. I liked that, on the other hand, Benedict didn’t convince me. It seemed to me that he did what he wanted despite the opinion of everyone else.
Talking about other topic, I would like to have a “tessen” to defend me with a supposedly harmless object.
Other thing that I liked was the investigation to find “The Groom”. At that time, the police didn’t have a lot of resources to catch criminals but fortunately, inspector Logan counted with a great team.
Talking about the other investigation, the one about spies and solar weapons, I didn’t like the outcome.
Nevertheless, I had great time reading this book and I think that you can enjoy it if you read it.
