Milly, truly Annie, is the daughter of a serial killer. She gave away her mother to the police and now they’re waiting for the trial. Meanwhile, she lives with an adoptive family that has a teenager daughter, named Phoebe, who mistreats everyone.
Will Milly adapt to her new life and new family despite all the problems in her past and in her present?
I think this book is raw, full of evil and psychological problems. I liked the way it’s written, the author knows a lot about all the psychological aspects and it’s very interesting.
The teenagers were very conflictive and Milly’s new family dysfunctional. She wanted so much to belong with some family and to have a friend, although they were conflictive persons, like Morgan.
I didn’t expect a part of the story that made me feel sorry for Milly but at the end I stopped feeling it.
In my opinion, this story is disturbing.
I recommend it a lot, this thriller is worth it.
