This is another of Poirot’s cases.
The amazing detective receives a strange letter from Mrs. Emily Arundell that leads him to investigate. He discovers that Mrs. Arundell died months ago, that she left a great inheritance and that the heir was someone unexpected.
Accompanied by his great friend Hastings, they discover a lot of suspicious situations and possible murderers.
I like a lot Agatha Christie’s writing. Her stories always make me think and I enjoy them very much.
I decided to read this one because one of the characters is a dog. Poor Bob is blamed for the accident that originates everything. And he’s there in other scenes.
Talking about guilty characters, I didn’t like the murderer’s identity but the investigation was very interesting and Poirot’s thinking was great.
All the possible murderers were disgusting, some more than others. Above all the Arundell siblings and the Tanios couple.
Well, this book is not part of my favorites but it was interesting to read it.
