My first Miss Marple’s book.
She’s on vacations at the Caribbean when the sudden death of Mayor Palgrave arouses her suspicions because they were talking the day before and, suddenly, he acted strangely after seeing something or someone behind her.
Besides, there seems to be general interest in thinking that the cause of death was natural, despite Mayor Palgrave’s good health.
This book was very entertaining and I didn’t expect the killer’s identity, in fact I didn’t like it. I suspected of someone else.
In general, I didn’t like the characters (excluding Miss Marple) and the person who helped her to analyze everything was a surprise.
Poirot continues to be my favorite though Miss Marple is also intelligent and interesting. I’ll read more of Miss Marple’s books.
